Chi-Cago's Chihuahua consists of me Karin Pedersen and John Fagerli, my good partner, boyfriend and father to our children 3 years and 6 years and our wonderful chihuahuas.
Our major interest in the breed started in 2001 and in 2002 we got our first Chihuahua, Precious Augustine One Of Adanac, "Julian". Since then we have been spellbound by this wonderful breed.

In late 2006 we were granted our prefix Chi-Cago and our very first litter was born September 2006. 7 months later we had our second litter of three females, of which Nuch CHI-CAGO'S B MANYARA SAFARI today is NORWEGIAN CHAMPION and CRUFTqualified 2009. We are incredibly proud. About a half year later, Nuch CHI-CAGO'S D TOMORROW NEVER DIES got his well-earned NORWEGIAN CHAMPION title after he had won total 9 CAC during his showingperiod. The short time we have been breeding, we have had great progress and to see already two of our offsprings from two different litters has achieved their champion title is a great pleasure and reward for the work and time we put in our dogs and our breeding. The short time we have been activ in breeding, we are very proud to have produced two Norwegian Champions, but ofcourse it is a great importance for us that all our offsprings are doing great as familymembers as well. Being healthy first of all.

We are fortunate to have several nice offspring shown regularly; CHI-CAGO'S FAY from our F litter after our Chi-Cago's C Orlando and Coltham Kindly Light has achieved amazing 5 CAC in the junior clas. She has achieved many good results as we are mighty proud of and we believe she will be glowing in our champions gallery in 2011!

CHI-CAGO'S C MIAMI (Mico) competes actively in the show ring and has achieved a CAC and several placements in the Best male class.

There is only one offspring who has moved abroad. CHI-CAGO'S E ISIS (ISI) is competing in the Swedish showring and has so far achieved a CAC and a number of placements in best bitch class. We look forward to follow intently on her exciting developments there.

All our offsprings matters to us also after they have left for their new homes. The joy and life they bring into their families are big blessing for us as breeders. We love great showresults, but also appreciate knowing that our offsprings are in loving and caring homes and beeing loving familymembers. We hear all the time that these tiny little dogs make so much diffrence as soon as they walk into their lives with their warmth, energy and love. What a blessing!

All our dogs live with us as family members and get a lot of time and attention. We are in addition to breeding and showing, also toddlers family, which limits a little in relation to travel to exhibitions, but we try travel on most of the exhibitions on the eastern region as far as possible. I both handle and train our dogs myself, of which there are usually 4-5 dogs that are handled on each exhibition. We usually bring our children with us on exhibitons, and our oldest daughter love to handle "Nantika" in "Children & dogs" clas.

Our children have grown up with the breed. I appreciate that both of them have the quiet and comfortable dealing with dogs and animals. There is a level of mutual respect. We have clear limits on how our children interact with dogs, and dogs have their free zones where our children have to leave them in peace. Mostly the dogs are most eager to run after the kids to enjoy. "Nantika" is their big favorite.

Our breeding goals are to enhance and preserve the breed according to breed standards where health will be an equally important point as exterior. We follow the Norwegian Kennel Club's Code of Ethics and the Norwegian club's Chihuahua Breed guidelines.

Kind regards Karin & John
